Clinical Lead for UCLH Outpatient Transformation

Fixed term to 30/09/2021, 1 day per week at current clinical salary

UCLH has an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in delivering the transformation of the Trust’s outpatient operation. The strategic development of outpatients is a top priority for the Trust in the coming years, the Board and the Chair.  We are due to publish a radical Trust-wide Strategy for UCLH, linked to the STP programme, to rethink the way our services are organised, implement new outpatient models of care and to radically update our administration systems.

The post holder will play an instrumental role in delivering this programme and ensure that clinically-led transformation is at the centre of the work. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of UCLH and support the Executive Board in delivering its vision for a world class hospital.

This role will:

  • Provide strategic direction and clinical leadership to the Outpatient Transformation Programme
  • Ensure that patient safety, quality of care and clinical outcomes are at the centre of all aspects of Outpatient Transformation
  • Champion the Outpatient Transformation Programme among senior clinical colleagues and manage the stakeholder engagement with the clinical community across the Trust
  • Lead all aspects of clinical governance associated with the Outpatient Transformation Programme
  • Support the Director of Innovation to ensure the programme delivers clinical, financial and experience improvements to time and pace required
  • Work collaboratively across the Trust to devise strategies and recommendations to deliver improvements in Trust-wide outpatients

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced senior clinician, preferably with significant  transformation and programme experience, who displays a passion for excellence and improvement of NHS outpatient services.

The post is confirmed to 30th September 2021 for 1 day per week at current clinical salary
