At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and committed person with proven leadership and general management experience. Our current General Manager post holder will be acting up as Divisional manager to cover maternity leave.   This has opened up an opportunity for a talented person to move into the vacant post.

The Gynaecology and Breast departments are flagship services for UCLH, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual with a proven leadership record and experience of managing a team, to support and develop these clinical services. Running all aspects of the services to the highest standards will be required including the areas of quality assurance, staff management, service delivery, service development, financial management and clinical governance. This post requires extensive interaction with the commissioning bodies for both services, and an understanding of the wider strategic framework.  To help you succeed you will be fully supported by professional and dedicated clinical and administrative teams.

As a highly motivated manager with proven managerial experience, ideally within a healthcare setting, you will need display strong leadership qualities and have a proven track record of delivering high performance across the areas you have managed.

Interviews and stakeholders to take place 7th March 2018.
