At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Haematology/Oncology Daycare

These are exciting times for the progressive, rapidly expanding Haematology/Oncology Daycare at UCH. We provide highly specialised care for a wide variety of patient groups within haematology and oncology, between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday. Staff in this friendly and supportive team develop a range of advanced skills and knowledge by rotating between the 4 main areas of Daycare. Our Supportive care provides holistic care for haemoglobinopathy patients as well as follow-up and treatments for patients who have undergone high dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. We have a busy and varied chemotherapy suite; and a highly respected Apheresis service which includes the peripheral blood stem cell harvest programme, and therapeutic plasma exchange. We have received a great deal of positive publicity for our Ambulatory Care project, where patients undergo high dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants as a day-case while staying in a nearby hotel. The Haematology/Oncology Unit as a whole is a sociable, fast moving and progressive area which actively supports nurse led activities and research and offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development.
