Join us and give the very best physical and psychological care to critically ill patients while learning and developing new clinical, research, education, quality improvement and leadership skills at University College Hospital Critical Care Unit in central London.

A recent peer review described us as “clearly a standard setting unit with … excellence” that “other units would benefit from”.  National audits show that we have some of the best outcomes in the country, and, within the Trust, the Unit gained Exemplar Ward status more quickly than any other department.

You will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including the country’s leading critical care research and development team, the Unit psychologist, the authors of Europe’s best-selling critical care nursing textbook, experts in quality improvement and human factors; led by our Matron and supported by a dedicated education team.

Due to the expansion of Critical Care across 4 sites we are undergoing a rapid process of recruitment. This opens up great opportunities for our nursing staff to gain experience in general critical care, PACU and haematology critical care. Staff experience is really important to us and that’s why the eRoster lead is so important.

We are looking for an experienced nurse to undertake this new and exciting role to lead the eRoster for Critical Care. You will be responsible for the eRoster during this very busy period and in any surge.  The role is brand new and really is an opportunity for you to shape things for the better and make a difference.

Applicants are required to have experience in eRoster management and able to demonstrate a strong desire to really make a difference for staff, the department and the patients by ensuring effective roster processes are efficient and robust.
