At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

We are looking to recruit a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our 35 bedded Critical Care Unit at University College Hospital and  9 bedded unit at West Moreland Site.

This busy dynamic unit admits emergency and elective admissions from a variety of specialities across both sites.

The CCU is dedicated to excellence for patients and the team are leaders in Quality Improvement. We take pride in the knowledge that we strive for a positive patient and staff experience every day at work and being part of a highly functioning team is very important to us. We absolutely value the importance of team work and so if you want to be part of a successful team come and join us.

This high profile role enables you to lead a team of novice and experienced nurses and nursing assistants. This is a real opportunity to develop leadership and management skills in critical care and be part of a proactive Multi Disciplinary Team.

The CCU is committed to your development and we run in-house development days and there is access to continuing academic development.

Applicants are required to have significant  experience post Critical Care Course in a Critical Care setting and able to demonstrate a strong desire  progress onto this senior role, develop a team and strive for excellent patient care..
