Closing date:  28-October 2018

Interview date: TBC

We are looking for a dynamic Project Lead with a remit for leading on the development of a new UCLH Food and Drink Strategy.

With strategic developments underway in the Trust and broad organisational support in place, the Trust Nutrition and Hydration Strategy Group (NHSG) have identified that this as an opportune time to set out our Nutrition and Hydration work plan for the next 5 years. We are therefore looking to develop an ambitious but achievable strategy across not only the nutrition and hydration needs of patients, but healthier eating and access to food and drink for the whole hospital community, especially staff, and the sustainable procurement of food and catering services. A key aspect of the role will also be to identify how we maintain, monitor and evaluate future progress made, including assurance against key relevant Food Standards.

You should have strong leadership, excellent communication and project management skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders which will range from Ward teams, Estates and Facilities, Occupational Health, Catering, Retail and Vending Providers to Staff and Patient Experience teams, with the close support of Senior Nursing and Dietetics.

Ideally you will be a registered clinician (nurse or AHP) with a strong interest in nutrition and hydration, existing knowledge of the organisation and an awareness of the NHS England Hospital Food Standards.

An employer committed to equal opportunities.  Staff benefits include: pension scheme, nursery, play scheme, flexible working and subsidised catering.  All jobs are open to job sharing with or without a partner.  We actively discourage smoking at work.
