We are looking for an individual to be the organisations Subject Matter expert on Information Governance and be responsible for the Data protection Act and incoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance.

This is an exciting opportunity to be working closely with the directors, senior managers, teams and departments regarding setting up processes and systems around GDPR and managing the IG toolkit.

You will be responsible for producing Trust wide work plans on an annual basis to meet policy, procedure and legislation. You will write, implement, review and update policies, guidelines and processes to ensure safe and effective management across the Trust.

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate a proactive approach in this hands-on and delivery driven role and a track record in delivering GDPR processes, demonstrate your leadership, communication skills and managing a team.

Extensive experience of working in the field of information governance including practical implementation of the Data Protection Act, related legislation and the NHS. Developing and implementing information governance training and awareness programmes for staff.
