At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Patients are at the centre of everything we do. An Electronic Health Record System (EHRS) will help to ensure that we continue to get better at delivering services and treatment plans designed around patient needs.

Our vision is to create a digitally enabled organisation that supports the delivery of efficient and effective patient care, achieved through easy-to-use systems that provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time.

To help achieve this vision, we are looking for a professional Application Testing Manager for our new EHRS application, Epic, and its related interfaces within and outside of the organisation.

This role will manage all aspects of the Application testing and administration of that testing required by the EHRS programme.  This includes overseeing unit, integration and end user testing of the application, ensuring compliance to such and gathering testing evidence. It is both a ‘hands-on’ and management role with responsibility for managing four application ‘testers’.

You need to have previous experience of application testing particularly with clinical and administrative patient related healthcare systems; a sound understanding of testing tools and techniques and a good background in the specific technologies required..

If successful, you will be offered this exciting role as a fixed term NHS contract or secondment from a current NHS contract that will transfer over on your current terms and conditions. You will receive your annual increments in line with agenda for change.
