Paediatric Emergency Medicine Clinical Fellow posts with Speciality Interests

Flexible start dates between September 2018 and February 2019 for an initial 12 months.

Applications are invited for candidates experienced in Emergency Medicine or Acute Paediatrics. For an opportunity to consolidate Paediatric Emergency Medicine competencies and pursue an area of interest, which may include one of the following:

  • Simulation and Education - Broad based practical training in simulation and education. The opportunity to complete a Postgraduate certificate (PgCert) in medical education at University College London.
  • Research - Opportunities to pursue research include evaluation of digital interventions, artificial intelligence in emergency medicine (UCLH-Turing partnership), health services research, clinical trials, novel therapeutics and diagnostics. The Population Policy and Practice (PPP) programme at ICH would offer the post-holder the opportunity to be attached to a senior clinical academic paediatrician who will provide research training and supervision towards a doctorate or other higher degree.
  • Quality Improvement - Opportunity to develop and complete a project with expertise and ground support of the quality improvement team.

The post holder will be allocated 50% of their working time to clinical duties in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and 50% to establish skills and achieve outcomes in an area of special interest.

This role is supported across both the Emergency and Paediatric divisions.
