Trust Head of Estates

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is one of the most complex NHS trusts in the UK, serving a large and diverse population. Our vision is to deliver top-quality patient care, excellent education and world-class research.

UCLH is seeking an organised and highly motivated team player with effective communication skills, as well as experience in both PFI and directly contracted services, to join the Trust’s senior management. They will be able to build successful teams and lead the operational development of the Estates team.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Trust’s entire estate portfolio is managed safely and cost effectively – delivering high-quality results in a timely manner and providing a safe, secure, high-quality environment for patients, visitors and staff. UCLH’s portfolio is currently some 2.5m square metres of estate in varying condition from brand new to heritage buildings. The post holder will ensure that a five-year rolling Capital programme is in place for backlog maintenance, plant replacement and extraordinary maintenance – currently circa £4.5m.
