The Procurement & Supply Chain department currently have vacancies for new roles as Supply Chain Officers (Band 3) to work in our evolving supply chain/logistics team delivering a materials management service to a number of clinical areas including theatres, in-patient wards and other departments. The Supply Chain department is going through a period of exciting change over the next few years with the introduction of new systems, hospital services and working practices.  To make this work we need the very best people willing and eager to be part of this transformation.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of basic materials management and the ability to learn new methods of working using varying ordering processes and technologies to control stock and pre-set levels in line with the Trust’s agreed supply chain processes.

You will need to demonstrate that you are a good team player and able to work unsupervised in clinical based storage areas. You must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to react positively and helpfully under pressure in a complex and demanding environment.

You will need to be a highly motivated individual with exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.  You must be able to demonstrate effective on the spot problem solving skills to ensure that all aspects of the supply chain work to the benefit of the trust especially in terms of supply chain and financial management.
