At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Join our Acute Paediatric Team on the 11th floor of our state-of-the-art hospital in Euston Road. You will be working in an accessible, innovative and modern environment.

The Acute Paediatric Ward cares for patients aged from birth to their 13th birthday. It comprises of 15 acute inpatient beds with 4 designated High Dependency Beds and provides a service for children with a wide range of acute paediatric illnesses. It has strong links with, and assists staffing of, Paediatric A&E and the adjacent Paediatric and Adolescent day care ward.

The Acute Paediatric A&E service is currently being expanded and staff will be expected to further develop their practice in this area. This post is for experienced Paediatric Nurses who are able to manage a ward and team of nurses on a daily basis.

The ward also works closely with the Neonatal Unit preparing chronically ill infants, including infants requiring oxygen and airway support for discharge home.

Adjacent to the ward is the Children’s and Adolescent’s Day Care Unit comprising of 11 beds which mainly provide a day surgery service for general, urology and dental patients and infusion service for Rheumatology and Endocrine patients. Further day surgery (Dental) is provided in a dedicated 6 bedded unit in the newly opened MacMillan Cancer Centre. Both these areas are staffed and managed by a dedicated day care team, though ward staff also rotate through these areas when required.

.As well as first-class facilities, you’ll benefit from the support of a visible management team and a dedicated team of Clinical Practice Facilitators, excellent career and educational development opportunities via links with London South Bank University, and Kings and City University, flexible working hours and generous study leave.

UCLH is an employer committed to equal opportunities and improving working life for all our staff. All our jobs are open to job share, with or without a partner.
