At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

Based in the busy West End of London, we have a lively and vibrant working atmosphere, with quick and easy transport links to all our sites. Our size and resources enable us to offer a range of attractive benefits as well as unparalleled education and development opportunities for staff at all levels. This includes an extensive portfolio of academic and clinical courses and programmes ranging from ongoing personal development through to clinical excellence and leadership skills. UCLH prides itself on its investment in staff both in terms of developing career skills but also its commitment to staff health and wellbeing.

University College Hospital is part of the UCLH NHS Foundation Trust which has a reputation for innovation and providing excellent patient-focused care. UCH is centrally located within easy reach of the many amenities that London has to offer, catering for a wide and diverse population.

The Trust is one of the designated Hyper-Acute Stroke Units in London and imaging will form an integral part of the patient pathway. The Imaging Department has a comprehensive range of state of the art equipment. This includes 5 MRI, 5 CT scanners, a digital Interventional Suite and 9 digital X-ray rooms all fully integrated with new PACS system introduced April 2019. The Emergency Department also has 2 new X-ray rooms and dedicated CT scanner installed last year.

We provide an Imaging service for a few satellite sites through which staff rotate; the Macmillan Cancer Centre, and UCH at Westmoreland St Hospital.

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic radiographers to join our forward-thinking and friendly department right in the heart of London’s West End.

We are looking to recruit radiographers with sophisticated communication skills and a patient-centred approach. The successful candidates will gain experience in a wide range of general radiography including participation of the OOH rota.

You will also be actively involved in the teaching and assessment of student radiographers and support of Assistant practitioners whilst on clinical placement.

As we offer a wide range of services, this is an excellent opportunity to learn new clinical skills and broaden your current skill base whilst working in a supportive team.

The department is keen to facilitate continual professional development and all staff are actively supported in this area.

If you are successful on shortlisting we would be happy to arrange a tour of the department at the time of your Interview.

Final year BSc radiography students will be considered for shortlisting.
