At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic midwives to join the highly motivated midwifery team within UCLH, we have very strong Trust values of Safety, Kindness, Teamwork and Improving and we strive to live and example these in our everyday work with women and with our colleagues.

We have modern and well equipped facilities, excellent investment in staff education and development and a strong research culture across maternity services.

We promote normality, have a rising number of women seeking to use our birth centre and have increased local home birth numbers. We aim to deliver high quality and safe care at all times.

Our posts at this level are rotational to give experience in all areas of the service, and to ensure that all midwives grow and maintain their full range of clinical skills and technical knowledge.

We are particularly seeking midwives who are interested in working with us to further develop and grow our private patients' service. This is particularly a post natal and post operative package in a new and dedicated facility.
Midwives who join this team will have the opportunity for clinical rotation into all areas of our maternity service over time, to maintain and develop their wider clinical skills.

We are seeking midwives who are able to meet the diverse needs of women who elect to have this package of care, and also to meet the key post natal requirements of new parents in our service

If you are a midwife who would like to be a part of our future and can meet this challenge we welcome your interest in a post with us – please apply today!
