At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Together we are a major international centre for neuroscience training and research.

David Ferrier ward specializes in neurology which encompasses stroke patients, neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disorders. We provide care for short stay, acutely unwell and deteriorating patients.

It is a fast paced and dynamic working environment with ample development opportunities. We will be opening higher observation beds on the neurology wards as part of a re-stacking project in the hospital, so it is an exciting time to be involved with an expanding team and help develop services supporting junior staff.

The successful applicants must be highly motivated and enthusiastic about teaching all grades of junior staff within David Ferrier.

The candidate must be an outstanding communicator, can demonstrate first-rate organisational and multitasking skills and has the ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently in a busy and fast paced work environment.
