At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery mission statement: To improve the clinical outcomes and quality of life for every individual with a neurological disorder.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen Square) is a specialist centre dedicated to improving the clinical outcomes and quality of life for all individuals with a neurological condition. Queen Square is closely associated with the Institute of Neurology and together, they are regarded as one of the premier neuroscience centres in the world, receiving referrals from across the UK and internationally.

Harris Batten is a five bedded specialist ITU which cares for patients with neurological diseases that require ventilation, often long term. It is the only dedicated Neuromedical ITU in the UK. Patients are admitted to the unit from across the UK and Internationally.

The unit treats approximately 150 patients each year with a wide variety of conditions such as encephalitis, status epilecticus, myasthenia gravis and Guillian Barré syndrome.

MITU is staffed by a small dedicated team of professionals who are focused on putting the patient at the centre of their care. Nurses have the opportunity to gain specialist skills in caring for patients with complex neuromedical conditions.
About you

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses at band 6 level with ITU experience. Experience in neurology is not essential as you will have full induction to the area and speciality overseen by our Education Team. You will be a flexible team player who is keen to develop themselves professionally.

Is providing excellent nursing care and getting the basics right one of your deepest beliefs? If so, come and join our team.
