At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. We are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service. Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

In NHS staff survey results, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Based in the busy West End of London, we have a lively and vibrant working atmosphere, with quick and easy transport links to all our sites. Our size and resources enable us to offer a range of attractive benefits as well as unparalleled education and development opportunities for staff at all levels. This includes an extensive portfolio of academic and clinical courses and programmes ranging from ongoing personal development through to clinical excellence and leadership skills. UCLH prides itself on its investment in staff both in terms of developing career skills but also its commitment to staff health and wellbeing.

Band 5 - Staff Nurse NHNN Preceptorship Rotation Programme

Are you a naturally caring person who loves to make a difference to others no matter how small that difference might be?

Are you the type of person who respects other people, treats them fairly and accepts them for who they are?

Do you like getting things done? And are you known for being hard-working and reliable?

We want our patients to receive the best possible care from people for whom nothing is too much trouble. So if you recognise yourself in the description above and it excites you to think you could be one of our team caring for our patients on a daily basis, we would love to hear from you.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN),Queen Square, is the UK's largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. We celebrated our 150th birthday last year and it couldn’t be a more exciting time to join our team as we embark on a £23million programme of redevelopment.

Our nurses make a unique contribution to enhance the lives of patients nationally and internationally. In return they are valued and developed to achieve their full potential.

Here’s what one of our Staff Nurses says about the job:

“For me the job means putting yourself out there for patients and the team – truly caring about what you do and the impact you have”
