At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Staff Nurse - Molly Lane Fox Unit

If you have a keen interest or wish to gain experience in neuro-oncology and neurosurgery this opportunity could be for you.

Molly Lane Fox Unit is currently a 12 bedded surgical brain tumour ward at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, part of University College Hospitals London NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). We are about to embark on an exciting relocation in September 2017 within The National to a brand new, specially designed ward. This new ward has 26 beds and continues the work which has already proven successful on our current ward. Our aim is to provide a calming inpatient setting, we use artwork and lighting to help achieve this.

We are a friendly and committed team who work closely with specialist therapists who are experienced in the treatment of patients with brain tumours, a palliative care team who provide expert advice and supported by four nurse specialists in neuro-oncology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to consistently provide high quality care to our patients and to ensure that they are physically, psychologically and emotionally looked after. We are devoted to supporting our staff in their professional development and are facilitated in this by dedicated practice facilitators.

If you would like more information on the post or to visit the ward and speak to our friendly staff.
