UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

Can you demonstrate an ability to lead on change and service improvements and to lead a Nursing Team?

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse with extensive knowledge and experience in paediatrics. The role will have both clinical and managerial responsibilities. You will be expected to provide specialist nursing and clinical leadership for young people aged between 1 day old up to 19 years within our expanding respiratory and allergy services. You will also attend multidisciplinary meetings and be an advocate for the patients and the service.  There will be opportunities to develop skills in clinical research.

UCLH is committed to providing excellent care to children and young people aged 13-20 years. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing care for young people and operate the largest clinical service for teenagers in Europe.

You must have a passion and an understanding for working with Young People.

The Paediatric and Adolescent division is complemented by a proactive multi-disciplinary team and benefits from the expertise of other clinical nurse specialists and hospital play staff.
