UCH at Westmoreland – Theatre Scrub Practitioner Band 6

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated band 6 scrub nurse/ODP to join the Operating Department at UCLH at Westmoreland Street. We are the largest centre for robotic prostatectomy in the United Kingdom, and are planning further expansion. We also specialise in all sub specialities of Urology, and have a busy Thoracic department.

We have an excellent training programme for robotic surgery in partnership with external providers.

The hospital is located in one of the most attractive areas of the West End, close to Oxford Street, and the ever-popular Marylebone High Street.

You will be able to demonstrate a desire to lead a team, and further develop your existing operating theatre, and team management skills with the support of a dedicated Senior Clinical Practice Facilitator.

We are committed to on-going professional development and opportunities exist to undertake a wide range of in-house and university based training programme.

The successful candidate will hold the appropriate qualifications to be a current registered practitioner (RGN or ODP) and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.

We offer our permanent staff an interest free season ticket loan for travel, a subsidised social club including gym, a library for staff to use, free independent and confidential support for all staff, large retail discounts, car leasing scheme and on-site accommodation to name a few.

We recognise, reward and thank colleagues by nominating them for our annual Celebrating Excellence Awards, which are funded by UCLH Charity.
