At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

The Physiotherapy team is highly regarded within Therapy and Rehabilitation Services at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Band 6 physiotherapist to join Therapy and Rehabilitation services.

All Band 6 PT staff work with well-established interdisciplinary teams and rotate through specialised service areas including the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, Neuro out-patients and Neuro in-patients, including Neuromedicine, Neurosurgery, the Hyperacute stroke unit and the Acute Brain Injury Unit.

Band 6 rotations are for 9 months and offer the opportunity to develop skills in the assessment and management of patients with a wide range of complex and rare neurological disabilities. You must have a substantive postgraduate experience in a physical, neurological setting.

Effective communication and a positive approach to the management of complex disability are essential.

Regular supervision and support for continued professional development is offered, and the opportunity to work on projects within your peer group.
