We are looking for experienced therapists whom are able to deliver massage/reflexology/aromatherapy sessions to make a difference to our patients.

Complementary therapies can make a significant difference to the wellbeing of patients and their carers. They can provide a way to interact with patients, help reduce stress and anxiety, enable people to cope better with illness and pain control and relieve some of the symptoms or side effects of their treatments.

Volunteers can deliver sessions either to patients who have specifically requested a session or proactively offer their services on the wards. The service is available to patients and their carers. Therapists may either be based in specific areas/wards where they would have a specific line manager, or managed directly by the Volunteer Services Lead. Volunteers must be professionally qualified and have significant experience of delivering sessions in a healthcare setting

Please note that the following is required for us to be able to process your application for this role:

a. To have studied and qualified in aromatherapy, massage, reflexology or reiki at a recognised college/school (ITEC equivalent) and have been practicing your therapies for at least 2 years. Registration with CNHC is desirable.

b. Experience of delivering therapies in a health care setting and a clear understanding of what this entails.

*NB we also offer Reiki to patients, but as demand can be fairly low we also ask that volunteers are qualified in other types of therapy.
