At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.

We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.

We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.

UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service.  Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Candidates are invited to apply for the above post; this is a 6 session substantive post.

The UCLH Breast unit sees about 2500 one stop referrals a year and manages 200 new breast cancers. The department prides itself on delivering an individualised patient centred oncoplastic approach to all its patients.  The outpatient service is housed in a brand new state of the art facility in the MacMillan Cancer Centre of UCLH.

The successful candidate will join the existing multidisciplinary team of breast surgeons, radiologists, histopathologists and oncologists with an international reputation in excellent care and research.

The successful candidate will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department and will be encouraged to take forward educational development.

Finally, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute towards a new working relationship between the breast units at UCLH and Whittington Health. This will mean cross-site working and joint MDT attendance.

All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving CCST/ CCT at the time of interview. Essential qualifications for this post include FRCS or equivalent.
